Overview
Dolphin’s Nose is one of the most beautiful locations in Kodaikanal . Dolphin 's Nose is at a distance of about eight kilometers from the Kodaikanal Lake . After the 6km ride, you will find a direction board that showing dolphin nose route, on the left side of the road. There will be a U-Bend Street and you have to go by that way to reach the point. Park the vehicle at the entrance to the Dolphin’s nose spot, and start the one and half kilometer (not sure about the distance, Just an assumption/ may vary by one additional km) walk. It's a slippery slope path. The initial 1km path is full of roots, branches and stones. After 1km, you will find two small snack shops. Have to walk a short distance beyond it. The remaining 0.5km path is very easy to walk. And then you will reach that beautiful spot. You can stand on the triangular ramp, so called dolphin’s nose. But you have to be very careful. Because it is too narrow. Do not stand at the foot of the climb during heavy wind. I assure you will surely enjoy that place and moment. I don't want to mention here about the tedious task of returning to entrance by walk :-) . But taking some gaps in between the walk will help you to reach the top in ease.
